Using Burrow
Terminal and tabs
Every session gets its own tab, and a tab can be split into several terminals.
Tabs
The Vault tab is the home screen. Every session you open gets a tab of its own next to it.
- Drag a tab to move it.
- Close a tab with its ✕ button, or by clicking it with the middle mouse button.
The dot on each tab shows the state of its connection:
| Dot | Meaning |
|---|
| Yellow | Connecting |
| Green | Connected |
| Red | Closed |
Split panes
Split a tab to see several terminals at once, side by side or stacked. Each pane is its own terminal.
| Action | macOS | Linux |
|---|
| Split right | ⌘ D | Ctrl Shift D |
| Split down | ⇧ ⌘ D | Ctrl Shift E |
| Close pane | ⌘ W | Ctrl Shift W |
All shortcuts are on the Keyboard shortcuts page.
Local terminal
Open terminal in the sidebar opens a shell on your own computer, in a tab next to your SSH sessions. It uses your login shell and starts in your home folder.
Copy, paste and links
| Action | macOS | Linux |
|---|
| Copy | ⌘ C | Ctrl Shift C |
| Paste | ⌘ V | Ctrl Shift V |
On Linux, plain Ctrl combinations go straight to the shell, so Ctrl C still interrupts a command. That’s why copy and paste need Shift as well.
Links in the terminal output are clickable. They open in your normal browser.
The terminal font and font size are in Settings. See Settings and security.
